By Curtis Drafton | Veteran Response Team Leader
Good afternoon everyone.
We pray everyone is having a good start to the week.
To update the situation in Northwest Florida, known as the Panhandle: many roads are still flooded, damaged and closed so we do not have access or are denied access with vehicles to many areas. Along with that, a lot of debris from broken buildings and trees block many roads.
We have decided however to extend our service for these efforts and would like to serve the harder hit areas for an additional/ consecutive three weeks.
We believe it will take as long to effectively search homes and buildings, as well as assist with road security and sweeping of water access points.
We hope everyone will watch the video attached to this report to get an idea of what first responders and volunteer organizations are facing.
God bless you all and thank you.
