Hurricane Matthew ravaged Haiti in October, 2016, causing widespread devastation and the death of over 1,000 people. MAP responded immediately by sending lifesaving medicines such as antibiotics, oral rehydration salts, first-aid kits and other disaster supplies. MAP also sent an Interagency Emergency Health Kit (IEHK) which provides treatments for up to 10,000 people for 90 days. MAP sent dozens of its own Medical Mission Packs containing 300 treatments (per pack) of prescription medicines. To date, MAP has provided $52 million in relief to Haiti in response to this horrific disaster. MAP continues to dispatch additional medicine and supplies to provide relief for the families suffering from the damage left by Hurricane Matthew.
