Our project will provide psychotrauma support to the community affected by Hurricane Harvey, as well as first responders and other key stakeholders. The work will be conducted in communities, schools, businesses and with faith based groups.
Real Medicine Foundation together with Organisational Resilience International has conducted a needs assessment in and around the Houston area and is awaiting further funding to enable project implementation. We have applied for $50,000 from Global Giving's Fund for Hurricane Harvey which will be enough to commence our work, with Real Medicine Foundation contributing the remainder. The outcome of the application has not yet been advised.
The total project cost over a 12 month period will be USD$95,000.
