The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc. continues to react to the needs of communities affected by Hurricane Harvey almost 1 year ago. The Food Bank RGV is still helping and coordinating food relief for sister food banks in Houston, Victoria, Beaumont and Corpus Christi.
With your help, we were able to send an additional 117,000 pounds of fresh produce like: cucumbers, citrus, tomatoes and mangos to Corpus Christi and the Golden Crescent (Victoria) Food Banks totalling 15 truckloads within the last 3 months.
Thousands of residents were fed quality citrus and vegetables to help stave off hunger, but allow them to get back on their feet while dealing with costly and long-term recovery.
