Humanitarian Relief for Yemen

Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation distributed over 730 food baskets in January and 500 food baskets in February.  We also reached over 3200 persons with warm clothings for the winer in January.  Moreover, we increased our support for orphans from 200 to 450 children orphans.  Our generous donors like you make our work possible.  Please visit our new website to learn more about our activities in Yemen.

The funds generated from this campaign allowed us to purchase 130 food baskets that were distributed in the following hard to reach mountainous areas of Yemen, Barad in AlJawaf (active fighting), Kholan in Hajjah and Sabir in Taiz.  Each food baskets contained 25 kilograms of flour, 10 kilograms of rice, 5 kilograms of sugar, 4 liters of oil and beans/lentils depending on the area.  The food can sustain a family of 6 for one month. 

The total number of beneciaries were 780 people, about 390 were males and 390 were females. Of these 520 were children. 

Our office in Yemen and our volunteers reached those most in need.  Your contributions and support make our work possible.  YRRF works in areas that are not covered by aid agencies.  The population we serve depend on our services.  All funds donated are used to purchase food baskets.  We negotitate the best prices for our work because merchants know that we do this work for charity and they trust our organization. We also buy locally saving the huge cost of transportation due to lack of fuel and helping local economies.
