Help students experience their potential

Thank you for your support and your faith in this Global Initiative. As you agree, change in our educational system is necessary. It has to change to bring back the essence and the objectives for which it was created.

Education is a formal space where children and young adults have their formative experiences. Today, learning has become more of an intellectual pursuit, and success is measured by knowledge. Uniqueness of the individual, individual thoughts, feelings and experiences are often overlooked. India, does not have teachers who get this concept. The first attempt then is to enable them.

Going to individual schools, talking to them, convincing them to do a free awareness takes a lot of resources. Hence, it was decided that it would be more productive to work with non-profits who network with government schools. Aashwasan has initiated contacts with such non –profits. We are in the midst of talking with them to explore the possibility of a tie up or if they could refer Aashwasan to the schools they are connected with. We have identified two contacts at this point in time and are exploring the feasibility to implement Humane Education alongside their initiatives.

Another possibility is that we raise enough funds to conduct an interschool event every year, which will have a widespread awareness in the city.
