Teenage motherhood often comes with health, emotional, and social challenges that young girls may not be prepared to manage. Without accurate information and supportive guidance, they can face repeated pregnancies, HIV and sexually transmitted infections, stigma, poor maternal health, and difficulty accessing essential services.
Through the Restoring Hope for Teenage Mothers program, F SSIBU Mission Foundation provides age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health education, counselling, mentorship, and referrals to appropriate health services.
We help young mothers understand their health rights, make informed decisions, recognize risks, protect themselves from preventable infections, and seek timely care when they need it. We also address issues of stigma, confidence, relationships, parenting, and future planning.
Our approach is designed not only to respond to immediate challenges but also to help young mothers protect their health and create safer futures for themselves and their children.
Donor support can help us organize health education sessions, counselling activities, community outreach, referrals, learning materials, and essential support for vulnerable teenage mothers.
Every girl deserves access to reliable information and compassionate guidance. A young mother should not have to navigate complex health challenges alone.
By supporting this program, donors help create healthier families, strengthen young mothers’ confidence, and reduce risks that can push vulnerable girls deeper into poverty.
Together, we can equip teenage mothers with knowledge, support, and hope to make healthier decisions and build stronger futures.
