Motherhood can be challenging at any age, but teenage mothers who lack support can face particularly difficult circumstances.
In Kamuli, Mwanyagiri, and Kirinya villages, more than 120 teenage mothers are raising children while navigating financial hardship, limited opportunities, and in some cases abandonment.
Through Restored Hope for Teenage Mothers, F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to strengthen both the young mothers and the children who depend on them.
Our activities include parenting guidance, counseling, mentorship, reproductive health education, and livelihood skills. These interventions are designed to help young mothers make informed decisions, strengthen their confidence, and develop practical ways of improving their family circumstances.
We also want young mothers to understand the importance of providing safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for their children.
Donor support can help provide training materials, counseling sessions, parenting education, livelihood resources, and essential support where needed.
When a young mother receives the opportunity to learn and develop, the benefits can extend to her child.
That is why we see these 120+ young mothers not simply as beneficiaries, but as mothers with potential to shape the next generation.
Together, we can help them build greater confidence and capacity to care for their children while working toward more stable futures.
