When a teenage girl is abandoned, the loss is not only emotional. She can lose access to education, family protection, financial support, and the confidence to imagine a future for herself. When she is also responsible for a child, the pressure can become even greater.
Restored Hope for Teenage Mothers was created to help change this trajectory.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is equipping vulnerable teenage girls and young mothers with practical skills that can create pathways toward self-reliance. Through vocational training in areas such as tailoring, hairdressing, electrical skills, craft production, poultry, and modern farming, girls are gaining abilities they can potentially use to pursue livelihoods and support their families.
But true empowerment requires more than a technical skill.
We combine skills development with mentorship, counselling, reproductive health education, psychosocial support, and family engagement. This helps young mothers strengthen both their practical capabilities and their confidence to make informed decisions about their lives and their children’s wellbeing.
For donors, this is an opportunity to invest in transformation rather than temporary relief.
A training opportunity can become a skill. A skill can become a livelihood. A livelihood can contribute to greater independence. And greater independence can create a more stable environment for a child.
Our vision is for no abandoned teenage girl to believe that her circumstances have permanently closed the door to her future.
With donor partnership, we can equip more girls with skills, connect them to opportunities, restore their confidence, and help them build futures defined by possibility rather than abandonment.
