For a teenage mother who has been abandoned, the journey into motherhood can become a struggle for survival. She may face rejection, poverty, stigma, interrupted education, lack of skills, and the responsibility of caring for a young child without dependable support. Through Nurture 200, F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to ensure that abandonment does not become the end of her story.
Our support begins by listening. Through community outreach, home visits, mentorship, and continued follow-up, we work to understand the circumstances surrounding each young mother and identify practical ways to help her rebuild confidence and hope. Where appropriate, we connect teenage mothers with opportunities for education, vocational skills, entrepreneurship, sexual and reproductive health information, psychosocial support, and other forms of assistance.
We also recognize that her child needs support. This program therefore seeks to address the wellbeing of both the young mother and her child, helping create conditions in which they can move toward a more secure future.
Donor funding is what helps turn this support into action. Contributions help facilitate outreach, mentorship, skills development, educational support, community engagement, and follow-up.
Every contribution can help replace isolation with connection and uncertainty with opportunity. Through this program donors are helping abandoned teenage mothers rediscover their dignity, develop practical skills, care for their children, and believe that motherhood does not have to end their dreams.
