Leaving school early can close doors that are difficult for young people to reopen. For children and adolescents affected by poverty, family challenges, teenage pregnancy, lack of school necessities, or other barriers, dropping out can quickly lead to deeper vulnerability.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation works to reconnect vulnerable children and youth with opportunities to learn, develop practical skills, and believe in their ability to build a different future.
Our approach goes beyond simply encouraging young people to return to school. We seek to understand the barriers surrounding them and connect them with appropriate support, including mentorship, practical skills training, digital learning, vocational opportunities, psychosocial support, and assistance with essential educational needs.
For some young people, a second chance may begin with returning to education. For others, it may begin with learning tailoring, handbag making, computer skills, entrepreneurship, modern farming, or another practical skill that can help them move toward greater independence.
Donors make these second chances possible.
Their support helps us create learning environments where young people who have experienced setbacks are not defined by what they have lost, but supported according to what they can still become.
Every young person deserves an opportunity to develop their abilities. By investing in second chances, donors help transform periods of exclusion into pathways toward skills, confidence, dignity, and opportunity.
