Supporting a child of a teenage mother means addressing both the child’s immediate needs and the circumstances that can keep a family trapped in poverty.
Alongside supporting children with education, school fees, scholastic materials, uniforms, shoes, meals, clothing, hygiene supplies and psychosocial care, our broader programs also seek to empower teenage mothers through life skills, counselling, vocational training, entrepreneurship opportunities and guidance where resources allow.
This two-generation approach matters. When a young mother gains knowledge, confidence and opportunities to improve her livelihood, she becomes better positioned to support her child. At the same time, when her child receives education, nutrition, protection and essential school requirements, the child gains a stronger foundation for the future.
Our goal is not simply to respond to today’s needs. It is to help create a future in which children are able to stay in school, develop their abilities and pursue their dreams without being held back by poverty.
Your partnership can help us break cycles of disadvantage one family at a time. Together, we can give children of teenage mothers the care, dignity, education and opportunities they deserve.
