Education can become especially difficult for children of teenage mothers when families struggle to meet basic household needs. Without assistance, children may miss classes, lack school materials, go without meals or eventually drop out.
Our education support seeks to change that reality. We help vulnerable children with school fees, books, scholastic materials, uniforms, shoes, school meals and other essential requirements needed to return to and remain in school. We also provide encouragement, counselling and psychosocial support to help children develop confidence and remain focused on their education.
Through our Nurture 200 Dreams, Give a Child a Chance program, children are connected to broader support that addresses their educational and welfare needs. Rather than seeing a child’s circumstances as a limitation, we invest in their potential.
With every term they complete, these children move closer to the future they imagine for themselves. A child who once struggled to attend school can begin participating confidently in class, developing friendships and building aspirations for their future.
