When teenage mothers are abandoned by families, partners, or caregivers, they can face homelessness, hunger, violence, stigma, and exploitation. Our first priority is to provide immediate protection and a safe environment where they can begin rebuilding their lives with dignity. Through community outreach and referrals, we identify teenage mothers experiencing severe vulnerability and connect them to appropriate safe accommodation, essential supplies, and supportive care.
Our response addresses urgent needs such as food, clothing, hygiene materials, bedding, and other basic necessities. Where a young mother and her baby require temporary shelter, we work with trusted community structures and service providers to identify safe and appropriate accommodation. We also provide compassionate guidance rather than treating these young women simply as beneficiaries.
This intervention creates a critical bridge between crisis and recovery. A teenage mother who knows that she and her baby are safe has a stronger foundation from which to pursue education, skills development, health services, and economic opportunities. By reducing immediate risks, we help prevent vulnerable young mothers from becoming trapped in cycles of poverty, exploitation, and dependency.
Donor support makes this protection possible. Contributions help provide emergency necessities and strengthen community-based referral and protection systems. Every contribution can help transform a moment of abandonment into an opportunity for safety, hope, and restoration. Our goal is not merely to respond to crisis, but to ensure that every teenage mother we reach can envision a future in which she and her child are protected, valued, and given a genuine opportunity to thrive.
