Dear readers,
We discovered that families without income can not fight against poverty through self employment . In an effort to come out a meanse of empowering women and their fammilies, This project is a very easy and short term through which fowls 3 weeks chicks and bought and distributed to families who grow and sell them and then recycling the capital by way of replacing the growned ones with the new chickens thereby generating income.
This project is fast and locrative in that, each family member is trained on how to handle and treat fowls in such a way that within every two months they are able to sell and generate income through which the profit is used for acquiring some of their househood needs. The Fowl dropings are now used for Key Hole Gardening in various families.
Two months ago we were able to gain partnership with some local supplies and acted as shortee to the consignement. The attached pictures show how women are succeeding and more women and requesting to join the project. See the size of the fowls of two months old. We are creating partnership in the marketing aspect so that at any time when the folws are ready, we look for the market. When they sell, they will then buy another generation and start growing for another two months. This project is to continue if we are able to have support from wel wishers.
Each family was given 10 chikens at the cost of 1750 frs and within two months they sell it at 5000 frs each. We are also organizing a feed supplier and if the project is running on well, we may start to produce feed to reduce the imput for every family and this will increase the profit margin.
Even though, we have not got any external funding, the starting is really v ery proisiing. If the project is advancing, we will also invite some volunteers from our international partners to get involved and to teach them how to use the fowls droping to start up small scale gardends which also give them some income.
We would be very grateful if welwishers can help us help these poor families.
Thanks for reading this report and promoting it in any other way.
May God blless you all.
