When you think of all of the critical things moms do for their kids, do you think of them boosting brainpower? Your support of Nurse-Family Partnership does just that - help vulnerable moms learn how to boost their child's brainpower!
Charles Nelson, PhD and Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School tells us that the first few years of a child's life are critical, "Millions and millions and millions of brain connections are being built. And so as we build the scaffolding for subsequent learning in those first few years, that scaffolding enables learning that occurs over the lifespan."
Watch this video from PBS Newshour to learn a little more about how Nurse-Family Partnership nurses interact with and coach moms to be the best parents they can be (see link below). Thank you for supporting these moms!
