According to the federal government, more than 650,000 Medicaid-eligible women give birth for the first time each year. For many, it's a time of anxiety and uncertainty. A lot of the women don't have good role models and nurse home visitors provide that support through their clients' pregnancy and until their child reaches two years of age.
