The 2017 school year began on February 6th and the students have been working hard to make this a great year! Of these, 53% of the students are girls! Yes, that means over half of the student body at Mama Africa the voice Uganda are female. Thank you for giving these girls the opportunity to go to school and giving them hope for bright and successful futures. We also welcomed 3 new girls in the project this year in Mama Africa the voice Uganda. These young girls are smart, tough, and ready to take on their futures. Our first term has now ended and closed we are getting ready to join second term.
Could you imagine if girls with this much potential weren’t able to go to school? For instance, Doreen is an amazing and smart young lady. She is 12 years old and in her primary. Doreen is very thankful for the opportunity she has to be in school. Her favorite subject in school in Social studies because she enjoys working on social and domestic issues. Doreen wouldn’t be in school at all if it wasn’t for the support she receives from you.
Thank you for giving these girls the chance to end the cycle of poverty they were born into and for helping to close the gender disparity gap in Uganda!
Your students are grateful for the opportunity you have given them to go to school. Thank you for all of your love and support!
