Thank you for supporting Mama Africa water project! Our mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to every person on the planet, especially in the slums of Kampala and the rural areas of Luwero district and we're so glad you've joined us.
Mama Africa today owns 3 acrres of land in Kulule, Bombo Road, this is located within Kayindu sub-county in Lowero District. The parish covers an area of approximately 45 square kilometers and has a population of about 6000 people.
The parish is sub divided into five villages, 94% of the people are peasants.
There are several communities without safe, clean, nearby water supplies and toilets. Three village centers have very poor water and sanitation facilities. Because of this, waterborne illnesses are very common among these communities.
Right now, you're helping to support our general water fund. For these gifts, we are assigning every $ and the funds to specifically the water project since the drilling of the water project at kalule kayindu means dealing with many tricky variables -- supply price fluctuation, change of plans due to drills that don’t reach water, and other unpredictable challenges.
We have so far received General water gifts of $6900 and we need $ 11,000.
With your gift which is allowing us to remain efficient and flexible during the implementation process, so we can use your funds where they're really needed. Rest assured, 99% of the money received will help fund water project costs at Mama Africa property!
One of the water projects we have done succefully in the slums of Kosovo which was funded by one family in Tampa. In the last decade, Kosovo slums kulekaana has faced luck of clean safe water and today, they are very happy they have water. Life has returned to normal that today the community has access to safe water. Most rural families survive on less than five liters of water per day and walk up to four hours to collect it from open sources..
We can't wait to show you the kind of impact you're making!
