Due to unique needs housing girls in a hostel especially in terms of feminine hygiene and security, an in-depth meeting was held with the staff of Dharithree, most of them women. After taking into account their recommendations and the overwhelming response to the fund raising efforts, the architect revised the plans. The good news is that the size of the building has since been increased from 2750 SFT to 3,850 SFT and will now accommodate 20 girls, an increase from 16 girls originally planned. The cost of the building will remain same at $85,000. Construction of the building will start in June 2015.
