Sawy has been currently intensifying food production as one key area that sawy is tackling in trying to feed kids daily on an average of 3 meals a day.
To avoid running out of food,....sawy has put up lush hydroponic nutritious gardens & is working on putting up more in SA. These gardens consists of fresh vegetables & fruits to help supplement the kids meals. These gardens are irrigation independent which is another way of beating droughts caused by being dependent on rains which is a common practice in Africa.
Following a surge in xenophobic violence in SA,....thousands of kids from foreign nationals—predominantly from Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Mozambique—nigeria etc,...have been stranded and forced to sleep on pavements, outside consulates, and near temporary transit camps that are beyond capacity leaving kids with no food, warm clothing, blankets etc.
Sawy has welcomed 120 to its center to help with shelter, food etc. We are trying to raise about $2.000
Any support towards this cause will be appreciated to help ease the situation as it is urgent.
