A Rickshaw- a home for two family members !
Vipin a young father along with his 3 year old daughter had made a rickshaw their home. They had nothing else to sleep on in the night. When her father had an episode of convulsion, the little one only could cry. One of the passer- by called the police and the child help line. Vipin though reluctantly, expressed that his daughter needs help and that he is not able to care for her and protect her any longer due to his illness. This little girl is with us in Asharan. She misses her father every day and the rickshaw on which she used to sleep with his father. She and few other lost children got admitted at Asharan recently.
New admission
We had 26 new children come to us this year. Some of them were lost. Few new born babies were picked up by the police from places like open field, near railway track and bushes. Few of the babies were prematurely born and had to have long hospitalization. Few kids are at Asharan as their relatives are not able to care for them as they themselves live on the street or in shelter care. Few children are surrendered by young mothers.
Asharan is greatful to you for sending your support to care fo these children.
