Hope and Help Society (HHS) is pleased to share an update on our project, “Hope for Drought-Affected Families in Somalia.” With the support of our generous GlobalGiving donors, we distributed essential dry food rations to 50 drought-affected households in Dangaroyo District, Nugaal Region, Puntland, Somalia. The assistance aimed to help vulnerable families meet their immediate food needs amid the challenges caused by drought and food insecurity.
Each of the 50 households received 50 kg of rice, 50 kg of flour, 5 kg of dates, 5 litres of cooking oil, and powdered milk. Through this distribution, we provided essential food supplies to families facing difficulties accessing adequate food. The assistance was intended to ease immediate household food shortages and help families cope with the impact of drought.
This response demonstrates HHS’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through practical, community-based humanitarian assistance. We are deeply grateful to our GlobalGiving donors, whose generosity helps us reach families experiencing hardship. Your support makes a meaningful contribution to providing essential food assistance to drought-affected households in Somalia. Continued support will help us respond to ongoing needs and reach more vulnerable families in the future.
