Greetings to all,
As we weather all the challenges in the US, we wish everyone wellbeing and hope. And, as the World faces the Pandemic, we send you all our thoughts and prayers and hope that we can all support each other in caring for our families and friends.
We have no specific project updates for Honduras hope other than our pilot bee keeping in the US has been quite the learning experience on a daily basis. The changes in the land that they create has been a glorious miracle. Flowering plants have increased in number and density. Other insects not seen before have populated the land, including a number of different species of Praying Mantis small and large, and Dragonflies. The organic garden was abundant. And more hummingbirds seemed to have visited the land as well. To our great surprise, Native bees of all sorts have also increased in abudance large and small, and live harmoniously with the Bees we introduced. We have seen Bumble bees the size of golfballs!
The benefits of bees cannot be overstated and we look forward to working closely with our friends in Honduras to create the Bee sanctuary along with the green New Hope Center.
We have had some very recent and new organizational changes - improvements! A new fundraiser has joined us, though her first focus is our Healing Heroes program - free care for disabled US Veterans. And, her Husband has joined us as well to improve our website and build a fundraising platform for us. We will share their information on the new website. We are so greatful for their volunteered time and energy!
