Project Report | Jul 20, 2022
My Two Dads

By Lauren Click | Project Manager

We hope that everyone has been enjoying their summer and staying safe out there!

CATS has been working hard to find all our foster kittens and cats permanent homes. It seems like just when we are catching our breath, another influx of kittens arrives!

Look at these adorable kittens that were abandoned in a box on a dangerous street in Mexico. We coordinated with our rescue partners across the border for transport to the US, got all of the kittens vetted, and found temporary loving foster homes! I am happy to report that they have all been adopted into their loving forever home!

These kittens all happen to look very similar to each other, but have you ever seen litters where the cats look very different than each other? It is most likely the result of something called superfecundation. Superfecundation occurs when a female mates with two or more males in the same heat cycle meaning that kittens of the same litter don’t always have the same dad!

Thank you again for your continued support! You are the reason we are able to keep doing what we do and are eternally grateful for your generosity!
