Continue supporting the children dear friends.

By F Beatrice Vanaja | Chief Administrative Officer

Dear friends,

We value your trust in our organisation and the commitment you have towards our project of providing home to the poor single parented children. We thank you for helping us continue our work.

The home built is now providing shelter for the underprivileged poor children who are either single parented and/or whose parent/s involve in activities that conflict with law. In December, the principal of the school where our children study, recommended to admit a girl in our home. She has no father. She is studying in 11th standard. Her story in the words of her mother: "Mam, Rekha's (name changed) father died six years back. My sister told me that she will take care of Rekha and brought her here this year. I trusted my sister and sent my daughter with her. I stay with my father in law who is very old and sick. I go to coolie work.

When I come to see Rekha, I can see that she is not like before and she was hiding something to me. When I visited her this time, I can see that she is much upset and unhappy. I inquired her and to my shock, came to know that my sister is illtreating her. Rekha was asked to cook and do the household chores. She was not given time to study. And to my dismay she was not fed properly. I decided to take her away from my sister's home.

Rekha is a good student. So when I approached the school principal, she wanted Rekha to continue her studies. She called you and now we are here."

After hearing the poor girl's story New Life decided to give shelter to Rekha in our Poonjolai home. And now Rekha is happy, studying, playing and eating well.

All this is possible only with the noble support from you dear donors. Now we come to you with a plea to help us raise donations of $1620 for buying cots for the children. We have a posted a micro project for this purpose and the link is:

Your donations will help the children have a cozy sleep and will reduce the incidences of them falling sick. Kindly spread words to your friends and relatives. Your words carry weight and this will help us reach our target early.

Thank you once again for all your support
