She longs for love and affection

Dear Donors,

Latha is the child of a young desserted mother Shaila (names changed). Her mother gave birth to her and Latha's father desserted Latha nad her mother. Then she lived with another man who gave birth to another girl child. After the birth of the second child, that man too desserted Shaila. Shaila, in her longing for love and affection fell prey to another man. The story repeated; another girl child is born and this man also desserted Shaila.

Shaila found it very difficult to raise the small kids who are 4.5 years, 3.5 years and just born. She could not go to work as she delivered the baby within a month. In this stage, we came to know about her through a staff nurse who is working in the hospital where she delivered the baby. The nurse who knows about the work of New Life and it's home for the children for quite some years called for supporting the poor children. New Life's staff visited the home of Latha and her sister Sita (name changed).  The house they were staying is very much damaged, not at all safe for three small children and the children were looking very pathetic. They were surviving on the porridge provided by the nearby Government creche. And in the nights mostly they sleep without food. On seeing the drastic condition, the first two children were admitted to our home immediately in the month of August.

Now Latha and Sita are in our home. Latha is healthy while Sita is a weak child. Latha is admitted to the nearby primary school. All these incidents affected Latha. It made her a child in a difficult circumstance. She longs for love and affection but she could not express that. So she is separating herself from the other children in our home. She likes to spend her time alone. We are sure that with the love and affection she gets at home, she will soon mingle with the other children and will be happy. Sita frequently has health problems and she is given special medical care. We hope she becomes a healthy child soon.

Many other children like Latha are longing for care, love and affection. They should not be vulnerable to dangers of abuse. Safeguarding them from abuse is possible only with the generous donations you give dear donors. We thank you for helping us to nurture these poor children who would otherwise be wandering in the streets, with irresponsible parents like Shaila and her companions.

Kindly keep supporting our cause and thus these poor, deprived children. Tell your friends and relatives with similar minds to help the poor children about the project. Our children grow because of your generous support and they are thankful to you dear donors.

Thanking you.
