The boys at the State-run Home for special needs children had a fun ten days at the summer camp that U&I staff helped organize.
From making origami crafts to art classes, the boys had the time of their lives. The highlight of the camp was the music performance for the boys courtesy a music school close to the Home. The final day saw a celebration which involved many of the kids taking part in the talent show dances or cheering on their buddies.
"The kids had a blast taking part in the summer camp. Now the challenge is to get back to the routine," says Jay, U&I Care's manager who works daily with these children.
U&I Care has grown in its impact in the last few months. We now work with five Care Homes, providing therapy, hygiene training, special education and preschool classes for over 300 men, women and children. While the work remains challenging and there are many downs, our staff at the Homes remain committed to providing these vulnerable communities the best care possible.
