We are already halfway through the year! and today we want to tell you the story of a little girl who comes from the north of our country
She is a 6-year-old girl who comes from Ovalle, a city in northern Chile located in the Coquimbo Region. He is undergoing oncological treatment at the Roberto del Río Hospital for a brain tumor, an anaplastic medulloblastoma for which a subtotal resection was performed, and for two months he has been at the Fundación Nuestros Hijos Rehabilitation Center to rehabilitate himself from the serious consequences that cancer has left her, since she was left unable to walk or speak. At the Foundation, she is receiving speech therapy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, neuropsychology, and differential education. He lives temporarily in a room in the commune of Independencia, in the city of Santiago, together with his mother and younger sister, in order to be close to his treatment centers. The Foundation also helps him with transportation due to his reduced mobility. In addition, a few days ago she received a new stove as part of our winter campaign “Warms up a family”, since her room was leaking.
Every day we work to improve the quality of life of hundreds of children with cancer in our country. Soon we will start organizing the most beautiful Christmas for them and their families, thanks for your support!
