2020 will be a year that will forever live in our memory and especially for all families with one of their children with cancer.
But the arrival of the holidays brought a space of "normality" to the families who enjoyed with their loved ones.
Although we did not reach the proposed goal for 2020, the complementary support of volunteers allowed us to reach each of these 300 children with some support.
Likewise, all the children of our shelter had a special Christmas meal.
As some of the pacient were authorized by their doctors to return home (Look here our instagram post) the rest were able to share in the dining room (but at separate tables due to Covid-19 precautions).
Ema and her mother Leontina were one of the families who stayed at the shelter for the holidays. If you want to know its history (in Spanish for now) click here
With your donation we were able to buy part of the gifts that we take in our vehicles to the homes of the children we support. We also sent gifts to the oncology units of the hospitals and all families received gift cards to buy gifts or Christmas dinner.
As we could not have a face-to-face party, we got together through Zoom and shared with a magician, the entertainer Angelica Castro and the singer Luis Jara. click here
We are very happy because we believe that this 2021 we will have an even more beautiful party with the hope that we can hug each other again and tell the children how much we love them, assuring them that we will continue to accompany them during the illness and beyond.
