Hithawathi empowers women, children, and vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka to stay safe online and recover from cyber violence. Through a free multilingual help desk, school programs, and nationwide awareness campaigns, we provide emotional support, technical guidance, and referrals to victims of online harassment and fraud. Your support helps build a safer, more resilient digital future for all.
Cyber violence is rising in Sri Lanka, affecting women, children, and vulnerable internet users. Victims face online harassment, image abuse, scams, and fraud, often without trusted support. Fear, stigma, and limited digital literacy prevent many from seeking help. Rural communities especially lack access to guidance and safe reporting channels, leaving thousands at risk of emotional trauma and financial loss.
Hithawathi provides free, confidential support to victims through a multilingual help desk offering guidance, technical assistance, and referrals. We conduct cyber safety awareness sessions in schools and communities, develop accessible educational resources, and empower youth through Teens Hubs. By combining victim support with prevention and education, we reduce online harm and strengthen digital resilience.
This project will build a safer digital environment for thousands of Sri Lankans each year. Women and children will gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate the internet safely, reducing cyber violence, fraud, and emotional harm. Strengthened awareness, youth leadership, and sustained victim support will create long-term digital resilience and safer online communities nationwide.
