Our first 'Bee Island' is almost complete. There were some delays in gettng the footers in due to winter weather that kept coming back, but Spring finally hit and we started construction. Footers were poured, posts were ordered and many hands did the work of constructing the 'Island'. The 'Bee Island' is located between Linden trees and surrounded by flowers with a beautiful background of the rolling hills. A Sun Hive is being completed, which will hang inside the bee island and will be another type of hive that our visitors can view and experience at the Sanctuary.
The 'Bee Island' still needs a few finishing touches, along with the sun hive and then landscaping will be installed around the 'Island'. We anticipate our first 'Bee Island' will be complete in the next month or sooner.
