Hillside Restoration Continues

With winter in full force here and still digging out from the worst storm in 5 years, much has been done with getting our first Bee Island built.  The ground has been leveled and materials have been ordered.  The design of the Bee Island includes a hanging hive and benches for observation.  The view from the structure looks out onto flower beds, the hillside and the rolling hills in the distance and with no leaf cover a glimpse of the river. The foundation of the island and some of the building was scheduled for the weekend of February 21 - 23, 2014, but that has had to be postponed due to the snow cover.  We can't wait for the snow to melt, the ground to get softer and to get the building started.
