Dear Devoted Supporters and Donors,
Because of your timely and compassionate support, hundreds of underprivileged and tribal children are thriving. On behalf of the entire CHHASE team and the communities we serve, we thank you for providing education support, tribal meal programs, new dresses, school kits, uniforms, and essential school fees.
Your generosity is directly preventing starvation and ensuring that young girls stay safe, nourished, and enrolled in school.
From Forced Migration to the Classroom
“My name is MADHU MIDHA. I am 15 years old, and I live with my parents and elder sister in a small tribal hamlet. My father is a casual labourer who works in brick kilns, cuts wood, and works in rice mills. Because his employment is temporary, our family had to migrate constantly from place to place.
Due to this endless moving, I had to drop out of school. I desperately wanted to study, play, and wear nice clothes like other children, but my father couldn't even provide regular daily meals. Most days, we went to bed hungry.
During a recent migration, we ended up near a CHHASE After-School Centre. One afternoon, I saw a group of tribal children walking together, proudly wearing school bags. When I asked them about it, I discovered they came from backgrounds just like mine. By joining CHHASE, they received free school kits, uniforms, tuition fees, new clothes, and a warm dinner every single evening.
I ran home to tell my parents, but they were hesitant and refused to let me join. Desperate and hungry, I slipped away to the centre on my own that evening. The dinner they gave me was delicious, and for the first time in a long time, I ate until my belly was full. I confided in the CHHASE staff about my parents' fears.
When the Director of CHHASE heard my story, he personally visited our home. He spoke gently to my parents about the lifelong value of education and promised that the organisation would cover all my schooling expenses. To give our family stability, he even helped my father secure a reliable job at a local farm. The migration stopped immediately. Today, I am back in the classroom, learning and growing. Our teachers remind us to pray for the well-being of our donors, whose kindness changed my life. Thank you so much.”
Our Impact at a Glance: CHHASE & Children’s Education
Your contributions do not just fund a program—they build a lifeline. With your continued support, we are actively breaking the cycle of poverty through a holistic approach:
Daily Nutrition: 240 tribal children receive a healthy, hot dinner every single evening at our study centres. Meals are carefully prepared and feature rice, sambar, vegetable curry, rasam, and appalam.
Academic Essentials: Children are equipped for success with complete school kits containing backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sketch pens, and geometry boxes.
Dignity & Confidence: We cover formal school fees and distribute tailored uniforms, everyday clothes, and special new outfits during major festivals so no child feels left out.
The Need Continues: Partner with Us to Change More Lives
We are seeing radiant, happy smiles on the faces of our children and parents. Every day, they express their deepest blessings for you and your family.
However, many more children in remote tribal hamlets are still waiting for their chance to go to school instead of the fields. Without your generous donations, it is incredibly difficult to keep these life-changing programs running.
Please consider renewing or increasing your support today. Your gift ensures that hunger never stands in the way of a child's education.
Thank you for standing with us in this noble cause.
With warm regards and deepest gratitude,
The CHHASE Team
