Many thanks for donating to HHP's "Volunteer Patient Advocacy Fund."
Your financial support is helping us to launch the Peer-Led Patient Advocacy Program in 2019 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Los Angeles, California with more cities being added from 2020.
The Peer-Led Patient Advocacy research phase started in earnest in October with the first focus group in Belfast with Northern Ireland experts knowledgeable in relation to patient advocacy and related subjects in Northern Ireland.
A second focus group will take place in Belfast on February 6th, primarily with volunteer patient advocates and patients, where we will explore the needs of patients and the recruitment, training and management of volunteer patient advocates.
In this month of January, we are conducting meetings with potential partners who have patients in need of patient advocacy in Los Angeles and plan to conduct a focus group with volunteer patient advocates and patients in the coming March or April.
In addition to the focus group research, we are also researching and developing operational and budgeting for the launch of the program as well as identifying and starting communication with potential foundations that might fund the patient advocacy program going forward.
