In 2024, the Fundación Andrés Bello reinforced its commitment to vulnerable communities in Venezuela by conducting 13 free medical and dental outreach sessions in rural and indigenous areas. These sessions focused on improving access to comprehensive health services and promoting preventive education, benefitting communities facing significant barriers to medical and dental care.

Results Achieved

1. Patients Treated: Over the course of the year, a total of 4,945 individuals received care, of which more than 30% were patients with disabilities. This effort represents a major step in inclusion and specialized care, providing essential health services for individuals with special needs.

2. Treatments and Procedures Performed: During these outreach sessions, 6,803 treatments were provided across various medical and dental specialties, and 10,723 procedures were carried out, including general medical consultations, dental care, pediatrics, gynecology, and other specialized services. Each intervention has significantly contributed to improving the quality of life of the patients served.

3. Comprehensive and Preventive Approach: In addition to medical and dental services, preventive education sessions were conducted to encourage healthy and hygienic practices within the communities. This educational component is essential for reducing the incidence of preventable diseases and promoting long-term changes in health habits.

Social Impact

The work accomplished in 2024 has made a substantial impact on the health and quality of life of thousands, reducing the burden of preventable diseases and improving general well-being.
