By John Carvosso | Chair of Book Relief Trustees
Since our last report we have been able to make a contribution of £200 to each of our 3 Devon prisons by contacting the librarians and sending the £600 via Libraries Unlimited (the new co-ordinating body that helps all the libraries in Devon, including the prisons of Channings Wood, Exeter and Dartmoor)
We are still also sending small quantities of books that the librarians have asked us to look for ..to add to their library stocks.
Two of our Committee members are arranging to visit the Dartmoor librarian, at her request, shortly
We are still looking for further support , via our Global Giving Project page, as the moneys we have so far donated have come mainly direct from our small bookshop funds.
We are most grateful to all our current supporters and hope you will continue to support us and maybe encourage your friends too.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
