We are so deeply proud of how our staff and leaders have stepped up to respond during this terrible time. We have been distributing sanitary pads to those who need them: “Just in one day 175 out of 225 packs were taken by girls and that is the first item they asking for".
Our leaders have also organized a project to help the student victims of the earthquake studying in Grade 11 and 12 by providing them with the necessary study materials, such as books and stationary.
Two of our leaders, Samikshya and Riya, trekked all the way to a village to deliver supplies. Samikshya told us: "The way to this village is so remote that help barely reaches them because of the uphill and rough paths (mostly small foot trails.) We had to walk about 2-3 hrs straight steeps to reach the area where we could distribute our supplies. The tiresome walk was worth a million dollars when people brightened up and cried, seeing us coming in with supplies for them".
Thank you so much for your support!
