We sincerely apologize for the delay in sending our reports over the past five months. This period has been very challenging for our team. We’ve had to adjust to new and unfamiliar environments, including relocating from a region affected by civil war. On top of that, the upcoming presidential elections in October and ongoing tensions in the English-speaking regions have made it unsafe and difficult for us to carry out field activities.
Although we now have an office space, we’re still working to secure land for our farming projects. We had planned two outreach for our RootBiz workshops, but due to the unstable political situation and limited access to local farms and experts, these plans could not move forward. We also don’t yet have enough funding to fully launch our school outreach programs.
For now, we are saving all donations to help pay for the farmland and restart our outreach work as schools begin the new academic year this September. In addition, our social media platforms have been inactive. Despite our efforts and investment, the current situation in the country has made it hard to keep them running.
We are actively looking for experienced volunteers—both local and international—who can support us either in person or online.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support. Together, we are building a stronger community that values food security, healthy lives, and nature.
Warm regards,
The Network of Agric and Sustainable Leaders for Africa (NASLA)
