Mary is 35 years old married with 4 children, she joined the literacy learning program in 2019 together with 350 new participants who enrolled in 2 learning centers of Koch Lii and Pagak.
"Before I joined the literacy program I was experiencing domestic violence at home, one of the many causes I discovered was poor communication and misinterpretation of basic facts which I dint have any idea, we were arguing with my husband and my family members a lot. The deepest pain I had was my inability to support my children with their school homework and challenges related to making daily losses with my small business". Said Mary
After completing the first phase of adult literacy learning she can communicate well, and able to bargain with her customers, and she is taking daily bookkeeping with her business something that has boosted her business and indirectly boosted her self esteem and helped her discover her voice.
Moving forward, we need your help to continue providing opportunities and resources to women. Please consider donating to give women a life-changing opportunity ensuring the fight for equality, dignity, and justice continues.
