It is a fact education is important in shaping people’s minds, changing their behaviors and bringing them to contribute actively to building a strong family.

"Now I dress clean, learned about using eco-friendly and environmentally friendly local stoves that do not dirty my house, and emits very little at times no smoke. I have a handwashing stand at my home latrine, all my compound has vegetables for food around my compound. All this I learned from our literacy classes that we go to on Tuesdays and Fridays Afternoon.

In our class we class, we are taught to learn by doing. we form groups of potential businesswomen joined together with those already doing business while being on the program. This is the major factor that fostered the translation of the skills I acquired in our Business skills training classes in my Business. My business is doing better Now.

My pride is that now I can use my basic phone moderately, because of this I can call customers to remind them to pay my debts or tell them the stock they wanted has arrived.

Before joining the literacy class. “I could not type names or phone numbers,” she says. “It was really deplorable.” she adds, “Today, I know how to write and can easily change settings in a phone. I also have the ability to read letters, newspapers, and books. I believe this is important in my life in this era.”

Says Joska;-  A learner at Amuru Pagak Learning Center

We to expand this unique and wonderful opportunity to women in Northern Uganda. This year enrolled 350 new participate from 2 centers of Koch Lii. Women take up classes twice a week for 3 hours, they are provided with materials and meals. The program employs professional local Facilitators with the ability to teach women using their local language.

Moving forward, we need your help to continue providing opportunities and resources to women and girls. Please consider a year-end gift to our effort, ensuring the fight for equality, dignity, and justice continues.
