Dear Asherah Foundation Supporters,
The Asherah Foundation would like to express its deepest gratitude to all of you who continue to support the cause. Thanks to you, we have raised $4,989 USD Dollars for the Help Women Access Education During Pandemic project. All your contributions have truly enabled us to support women from all over the world overcome the effects the pandemic has had on their lives.
According to UNESCO, the impact COVID-19 has had on education has been ernomous. At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, school closures affected nearly 1.6 billion learners in over 190 countries. These effects have been particularly felt by women as a lot of them have been forced into carrying on the great burden of domestic responsibilities and have had to give up on their pursuit of an education. However, thanks to your support, Asherah has been able to support some of these women continue with their education.
Since our last update, Evelyne is currently in the last stretch towards completing her second year of university. She successfully passed her first semester and upon passing her second semester, will be moving onto her 3rd year of university this year!
Given the discrimination she has faced due to her disability and the effects COVID-19 has had on her life, Evelyne continues to persevere and is determined to earn her Bachelor's Degree.
All your donations have gone along way in supporting women like Evelyne, and on behalf of them we want to say, thank you.
