Dear Asherah Foundation Supporters,
We are halfway to reaching our fundraising goal! Thank you to all your contributions thus far that have allowed us to support our incredible scholarship recipients! In this report, we wanted to share progress from Jackline, Maryline, and Evelyne.
Despite ongoing lockdowns due to the pandemic and other challenges, Jackline has successfully completed her recent exams at Cavendish University-Uganda. Maryline has also successfully completed her most recent semester at Stella Maris Polytechnic with high marks in the following courses: Environmental & Remedial Action, Finite Mathematics, and Environmental Health & Safety Management. Both women continue to make progress towards their degrees in Business Administration (Jackline) and Environmental Studies (Maryline).
For Evelyne, the COVID-19 crisis led to an almost year-long delay of university operations at Bujumbura International University-Burundi. This past spring, Evelyne was finally able to complete her exams from the 2019-2020 Academic Year while continuing to be an advocate for the disabled in her community.
We celebrate the accomplishments of our scholarship recipients who have been faced with numerous disruptions to their academic journeys as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We ask that you continue contributing to our project as these three women work towards completing their degrees in the following academic years. Thank you again for your generosity and support that has helped women around the world pursue their dreams of higher education!
Best,
The Asherah Foundation Team
