For every mother, the birth of a child is a moment filled with dreams, hope, and immeasurable joy. Sujatha was no different. Her first child was born through a normal delivery, and everything went exactly as expected. As she looked forward to welcoming her second child, she imagined another smooth and happy journey into motherhood.
But life had an unexpected challenge in store.
During a routine prenatal scan, Sujatha was told that her unborn baby had a severely deformed ankle. The news shattered her. Overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty, she even considered terminating the pregnancy. The future she had so lovingly imagined suddenly seemed frightening and unclear.
Thankfully, her doctors reassured her that the condition was treatable and that her child could go on to live a normal life. With the unwavering support of her husband, Sujatha found the courage to continue her pregnancy and place her trust in the treatment process.
Within hours of baby Aadya's birth, she was taken to the orthopaedic department, where the first cast was applied. What followed was a long and demanding journey. Aadya underwent 21 casts, each one bringing her a little closer to recovery. After completing the casting phase, she was referred to our centre for a Foot Abduction Brace. Over the years, we replaced the brace eight times to keep pace with her growth and ensure the best possible outcome.
Last week, Sujatha received the news she had prayed for since the day of that first scan. The doctor told her that Aadya's treatment was complete and that she was doing well.
Today, Aadya runs, plays, and laughs just like any other child her age. Watching her daughter race around the playground, Sujatha often finds it hard to believe how far they have come. What once seemed impossible now feels like a miracle.
For Sujatha and Aadya, this transformation was made possible because compassionate donors like you chose to care. Your support ensured that a little girl received the treatment she needed and gave a mother the priceless gift of seeing her child grow up healthy, active, and full of joy.
Thank you for helping create miracles, one child at a time.
During the last quarter we have helped 150 children with club foot brace.
