From your generous support, you empowered AfriAfya through the "Harnessing Solar Power as cooking fuel in Kenya" project to feed hundreds of children in Kilibasi Primary School, Kinango District in Kenya. Majority of these children go to school in order to have atleast one meal a day. While teaching them how to harness solar power, we bought a variety of cooking ingredients. These were later donated to the school together with solar cooking equipment. The solar cooking equipment will allow the school administration to save money spent on fuel. These savings will be diverted either to buy food or books for the children. The AfriAfya team as well as the community of Kilibasi Primary School are very grateful for your support. The AfriAfya team would also appreciate feedback on ways we can improve our service to the marginalized communities in Kenya.
