Rikshaw and Loader Distributed Among Deserving Ind

By Muhammad Imad Ud Din | Project Leader

Title: Rickshaws & Loaders Distributed to Flood-Affected Families Across Pakistan

Summary

Alkhidmat Foundation has distributed rickshaws and loaders among hardworking individuals who lost their livelihoods in the recent floods across Pakistan. This initiative is helping families restart income-generating activities, restore dignity, and rebuild their lives after the disaster.

Story / Update

The devastating floods across Pakistan swept away not only homes but also the primary means of livelihood for thousands of families. Many individuals who once supported their families through small-scale transport services were left with nothing to rely on.

To help them recover, Alkhidmat Foundation distributed rickshaws and loaders to deserving flood-affected individuals. These vehicles are already enabling beneficiaries to earn a stable income by providing transport services, carrying goods, and supporting local markets.

For families who had lost hope, this initiative is a powerful step toward self-reliance. Each rickshaw or loader is not just a vehicle—it is a renewed source of dignity, stability, and a sustainable livelihood.

Beneficiaries

  • Direct Impact: Dozens of flood-affected individuals provided with rickshaws & loaders.

  • Indirect Impact: Hundreds of family members now supported through restored income.

Impact

  • Restored livelihoods for disaster-hit families.

  • Reduced dependency on external aid by promoting self-employment.

  • Created opportunities for long-term income and resilience.

Next Steps

Alkhidmat aims to expand livelihood support by providing more rickshaws, loaders, and small business tools to flood-affected communities across Pakistan, helping more families stand on their feet again.
