Support 50 Rickshaws for Flood-Hit Families

I feel deeply gratified in presenting to you the report on Alkhidmat Foundation relief and rehabilitation activities during the floods of 2022. The report is prepared in the backdrop of unprecedented devastating monsoon rains, floods and landslides that impacted more than 33 million people across all four provinces of Pakistan. Sadly enough, Pakistan bore the worst of climate change effects in the wake of such adverse floods ever seen by humanity; yet it showed a great height of human endurance and resilience as a nation on the other side.
For us too, it was another year of unusual challenges as an organization since COVID-19. Yet, we have been most visible in doing extraordinary relief and rehabilitation activities all across the country alhamdoliLLah. Our positive impact together as an organization got noticed across Pakistan and even beyond which includes UNO, world governments, global agencies, national and international media, philanthropists, global leaders as well as celebrities. We are grateful to our local as well as international donors, partners and well-wishers based in Pakistan, Gulf States, Europe, USA and the rest of the world.

Activities

During the reporting period, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan conducted several programs and activities to support orphan children and promote their well-being. The following activities were held:

Children's Day Celebration

Orphans were enlightened about the importance of self-care through informative lectures.

History of Pakistan Quiz competitions were organized under the Child & Mother Care Development Program (CMCDP), and prizes were distributed among the winners.

Pakistan Day Celebration

Pakistan Day was organized and celebrated with enthusiasm throughout the country.

Events and activities related to Green Pakistan Day were incorporated into the celebrations.

Cleanliness Campaign

A cleanliness campaign was launched nationwide to raise awareness about cleanliness, health, and hygiene.

The aim was to foster a clean environment and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Orphans' Health Screening Program

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan implemented an annual health screening program for orphan children and their mothers.

The program ensured that necessary medical care and attention were provided to the orphans.

Ramadan Cards Distribution

Ramadan cards were distributed to the orphan children, allowing them to engage in religious activities even while at home.

Financial Assistance

During the reporting period, 21,733 Pakistani orphan children received financial assistance, enabling them to continue their education.

Educational and Awareness Programs

Orphan children were educated about self-care, positive thinking, and various national and international days.

Different curricular and co-curricular activities were organized to promote the physical, psychological, and social health of the children.

Plan for the Next Reporting Period

For the next quarter (April to June 2023), Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has planned the following activities:

Personality Skill Development

Celebration of World Orphans' Day throughout April, highlighting the importance of supporting orphans.

Eid Milan Parties in May, including the distribution of Eid gifts to orphans, emphasizing the theme of "Zindagi ko phr sa Mus Kirana Hai."

Events and activities related to World Environment Day in June to raise awareness about environmental preservation.

Cleanliness and Environment Campaign

Launching the second phase of the cleanliness campaign.

Activities such as planting, recycling, providing water pots for birds, creating paintings and quotations on environmental importance, and sharing video messages for the betterment of the environment.

Leadership Camp and Fun Gala

Organizing a leadership camp and a fun gala in June to provide a platform for personal growth and enjoyment for the orphans.

Interpersonal Harmony Lectures

Delivering lectures on interpersonal harmony to broaden the mental abilities of orphans, fostering acceptance of others and promoting peaceful coexistence.
