August-October 2019! We’ve had so many exciting activities this last term for our lunch program. The lunch program provides so much for our students which makes it even more special to share all that’s transpired over the last few months. Recently we were blessed to have many people from the surrounding area networking with our former sons and daughters to provide and donate a beautiful meal for the students. The students were so happy to enjoy a nutritious lunch, Thai snacks, juice and milk. The students were especially thrilled to receive their most favorite dessert of ice and different flavored syrups. Yum. Smiles were in abundance!
The students also took part in a cooking class to learn all about preparing Thai food and Thai desserts. After class the students gathered into groups and engaged in a friendly cooking competition. Each group cooked different dishes. Then the students from all groups taste tested the dishes and they voted by points to determine which group made the most delicious dish! They had a blast.
From all of us here at DEPDC we want to express our gratitude to all donors past and present. We have so much to thank you for and are so happy to share through stories all the positive differences you make in the lives of the students.
