As the rains continue to pound the river Sondu Miriu has once again bursted its banks and hence displaced several households with families of children and the elderly in West Nyakach.
There is an urgent need to evacuate as many households as possible so that we would be able to mitigate this disaster, the raging floods waters have continually increased in levels hence reaching to far and wide within Nyakwre and Sango Rota Areas of nyakach. Most of these families are now spending their long nights in the cold as they look for alternative livelihoods and shelters and this is really affecting them day by day as the number increases exponenctially
There is an urgent need to evacuate the children and the elderly men and women from the flooding areas to higher grounds where they would be able to get the amenities and food
