Dear donor
As we write this report there are hundreds of stray dogs suffering CTVT in Venezuelan streets. Unfortunately, each day, treatment is getting more and more expensive and unavailable.
We receive non-government funding. We rely on donations from caring people like you who believe in our labor and kindly support our mission.
Because of that, we have not been able to take care of many more than we currently have funds to and are in queue needing the chemotherapy treatment to save their lives. Even though it is a very important fact, people seem to be more empathic with other caring causes. Therefore, our funds for this particular matter have been very limited.
We keep promoting spay and neuter programs in low income communities to compensate and also prevent CTVT expansion, but still a lot of stray dogs in Venezuelan streets needs CTVT chemotherapy to treat this horrendous disease that takes our dogs lives.
We took care of a strays female dogs that have contracted CTVT in Maracaibo’s Flea Market where our support team can guarantee to have the complete treatment done. They should have, depending on the case, at least 3 or 4 chemotherapy sessions each. Also in our last veterinary care day in Cumana we took care of a few cases of CTVT.
